Tell me more about Crankbrothers pedals

If maintenance is the only reason to choose SPD over CB, then choosing a balance bike or a scooter over a bike with a drivetrain makes total sense.

Then running is much better than cycling, cause I've never had to grease my Brooks.

Are you serious?

only if you are a fair weather rider.

In wet conditions ou may as well just have the axle because the rest of the Shimano pedal is useless except for bashing your shins in

Hmmm, I have ridden XT 8000 pedals in lesotho mud so bad you could build a hut out of it. That thick black **** that you can’t even push your bike in because your wheel gets seized up, you have to carry it. Obviously this involved a lot of getting on and off the bike and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the pedals handled it.

So the bottom line is that there are at least three satisfied Crap Bros users and a few who ride flats, who don't count anyway... I'm glad it's Friday. SPD FTW.

One thing is for sure - Crankbos Pedals are popular.

Picture taken at a recent cycling convention where a single free sample of a set of eggbeater pedals is being given out:

No, they were giving out a CB service kit.

Now flats are a different story.

I have Look SPDs, great contact area, shimanos, great durability and Eggbeaters which are light and look class. Weight is everything on that bike - and when they break, at least I'm pushing a light bike with a good looking bling set of broken pedals
