Specialized Eliminator - anyone tried?

Has anyone got one of these on their bikes at the moment or experience with it in SA conditions?

I am looking to replace my DHR on the front as it's a bit draggy for day to day. Sticks very well on the steeps but something a little faster as I feel I'm peddling in sections I used to just pump or freewheel.

for the font I'd go as burly as possible

go for a slaughter on the rear if rolling is bothering you

......never ever compromise front grip ever

Have the new E13 semi slick on the back already. Not looking to compromise grip, just looking to strike balance and get the handbrake feeling off. I've had grippy tyres before that have rolled faster and still never let me down when the going gets roff. Hoping this is a good option.

If anyone is looking Freewheel Cyclology has them in stock at R880. 27.5's and 29.

Jirre, spez tyres are getting more expensive these days. There was a time when spez tyres were always considered the wallet friendly option compared to other brands like Maxxis, and especially Schwalbe.

Ya thought the same thing, I love myself a maxxis but pricing puts me off, but now that spaz tyres are no longer 400 Maxxis or nothing it seems

They used to be a straight R580 for the awful control ones and R660 for the Grids which meant you could happy buy one test it and it wasn't a train smash if it wasn't lekker. Now they have gone up to R880 and now it's Maxxis, Schwalbe or Onza that you can find cheaper.

I'm afraid at that price they can keep them. I have Butchers on my enduro and they aren't the best. Quite fast rolling but don't like lower pressures and not quite enough grip on a slack enduro bike up front unless its really steep and  there's a lot of weight over the front...
