Tomik Posted December 2, 2018 Share So, narrowly avoided crash during ppa cyclosportive today but my shoe didn't come off so well. Can someone refer someone that paints or repairs road cycling shoes (preferably both). Thanks! Edited December 2, 2018 by Tomik
Cippo Posted December 2, 2018 Share Have a chat to Hasie & the Robots as they customise shoes. Bogus has done carbon repairs to soles before.
Tomik Posted December 2, 2018 Share Thanks, have mailed Hasie. Is the upper that needs the repair, but will check with Bogus anyway.
Dazshell Posted December 2, 2018 Share Try get some fine water paper and sand the bad scuffs down and then touch them up or paint them carefully Barksole shoe die available from any Barksole franchise - https://barksole.co.za/ They also do repairs too. Needs epoxy infill and proper paint job. The spokes basically sliced the side section off... Would post Pic but can't figure out how to on phone. So maybe something I don't know about. Edited December 3, 2018 by Ferro

CJ Van Posted December 3, 2018 Share Under what section? Edit: Just interested to know. My bikes are specified but shoes not. So maybe something I don't know about. You should be able to claim that from your All Risk policy. Let's say you have R20 000 cover under All Risk, not specified, you can claim a max of R5000 per item less your excess. It is usually 1/4 of your total cover max per item. Tomik Posted December 3, 2018 Share Claim from insurance and move on to the next pair. My bike is covered, not my shoes. And I would prefer to repair them as it's a mission finding shoes that fit me properly. Spez and Shimano shoes don't fit.
