What a Rock Star she was is!

She always said she would take stock at the end of 2018 and then decide from there. I remember watching her at the Fort William XCO races a few times when she was untouchable. Only Sabine Spitz could challenge her. Despite her age she carried herself professionally and even initiated some changes to the Cape Epic stage start line up where the women now race more equitably by having their own start group.

Her mark on women's XCO  is huge. The greatest XCO racer of them all in my book, across genders. Not even Julien Absalon, or John Tomac has left as big a mark on the sport of Cross Country Mountain Biking...
