Want to change to an oval chainring

Noob question and maybe a stupid one at that....

Would it be possible to fit an oval big ring onto a 3 x 9sp SLX crank?

I am currently using a 48t and was wondering if there would be any benefits of changing this on a gravel bike?

Are there any available locally?

Thanks

Remember: 32 is 32.

Thinking it will make you 5% stronger? Or whatever? I am not convinced.

One of the okes at work got himself a 1X12 and claimed that it made him 10-15% stronger/faster. Ja sure.

As far as I am concerned the biggest/only difference is the feel when I pedal. Yes I have tried it. Back on round rings.

Why do you want to change?

Yes, I thought as much.  It would need to have the "ramps" and I don't think they are available?

I was thinking of changing the 48t only.

Initially a bit fiddly but done loads of K's on both these setups without any problems .... And I'm no tech guru unlike our fellow hubber @Pikey (private joke [emoji6])26bc2a35e46df4ce3bc55a6efb747739.jpgbde1aa9b10330ea5c2f0187ce8151d5a.jpg
