I mean I heard they are no more.. well available in SA.. sounded like someone said the company folded or is that the local importer folded.

If I'm wrong I'm happily wrong, then just need to find a shop that has proper selection of stock.

Hi all

I believe CRAFT is no more... What would be good equal quality cost replacements ?

G

that certainly would explain the heavy discounting on onedayonly over the past few months

... They seem to run from R1499 - R2500

Anyone been at CycleLab mega store lately and notice what their stock selection/options are looking like.

Take a look at Ciovita apparel.

I agree, i bought lots from them over the last 12 months. Their sizes are very small (I take a 2XL normally i wear a L or XL) so first go LBS and try them on to get your size - I found them at CycleLab and their prices were same or very similar to the online prices. But they don't stock the full range so most i buy on line.

They have some cool designs - their Bibs are also very comfortable

noticed, thinking the same, go fit and determine exactly what size i need and then taketh buy from there. Stock/Chamios/price dependant.

other than CL, who else sells them in Jhb.

Like the brand, have one of their tops and it's quality, so a brand switch is prob called for now, can't keep on trying to get Craft...

Craft are still going strong internationally but SA aways seems to have had a problem with it. Maybe it was from the constant discounts and sale a couple of years ago that devalued the brand or people didn't see it on the same level as Giordana, Assos, Castelli etc but it quickly became a 'budget' brand. There was a couple of changes of local agents that didn't help as their apparel dropped out of some of the bigger shops and chains. Some factory sale shops opened and closed and availability just died.

Shame really as they have some great pieces (like their GABBA rival as well as great technical hoodies for winter riding) and their top / middle end road stuff was pretty good but their lower end stuff was very average.

We always see craft clothing being sold at low prices in low cost supermarkets here. Cycling kit and Running kit mainly. Can pick it up for next to nothing. Not sure what that means... But it's definitely not as illustrious as I remember

Yeah, which is a shame as some of their kit is really good quality. From my experience there were a couple of shorts and tops in their lower range that fitted really badly and just didn't seems to have much thought put into.

Where have you seen their other kit? I've been looking for one of their tech, super stretchy hoodies like this for ages but with no joy. :(

Where in Jhb is a shop with the most stock/selection/option.

Ciovita. I like their bibs more than the Craft ones. Great quality at great prices. Bibs around R1500.
