You dont set a field for bad bowling. A bowler bowling down leg is like a doctor forgetting his tools inside a pasient. Eric Simons said during his time as coach, an international bowler who only bowls 3 good balls an over is like you doing your job properly only 50% of the time.

A captain can have all the game plans in place but if his bowlers cannot execute, its useless. Keep in mind, thats if we even have plans B and C when plan A doesnt work. Because most of the times it looks like we only have a plan A and nothing beyond that.

I didnt watch much of the game. But every time I caught a glimpse, someone was hitting the ball down leg side for a boundary.

Why a fielder was not moved in closer into that position is beyond me.

Everything just seemed so static. Bowlers going thru the motions with the odd effort ball, field not being positioned and bowling to trap the batsman. I am possibly wrong, but thats what it seemed like to me.

The team needs to be more awake and proactive! but yes, its over for them.

Don't think AB's inclusion at nr 99 would have helped the team at all...

If he still wanted to play he should have stayed in the side. You cant come at the 11 th hour before squad is announced and hope its OK. He retired and thats it for me. Did not want him to retire but he did not ask me for advice so ....

West Indies[emoji51]

Well, they seem to be a threat. They destroyed pakistan batting in their first wc match. Pakistand and England battled it out.

So far West Indies bowling seems to be rock solid. Would love to see them win the title

And also fielding really well..so a really good all round team it seems.. sharp in departments..

Jis but they are big guys..I would run away when those fast bowlers came running at me, wouldn't help much as most of them did some sprinting in their school days..

Really hope they go all the way.

Windies are also my next favourite team, would love for them to win it.

Other than that, I am happy for anyone to win it except the Ausies.....and the Indians.......and the English.

Aussies recovered well. very deep batting capability. Bodes well for their chances. In contrast, South African tail ranks as the lowest contributors out of all the teams playing.<_<

this is a very defendable score by the aussies. but like gen, I'm rooting for the Windies. the only basketball team that can play cricket
