I see online retailers now have stock. Going on average R250.00 less than NX.... is that price gap sufficient to lure the 1x10’ers out of the Bronze Age?

No. cheap and nasty usually is....cheap and nasty.

AND...and until Sram has a multi shift /instant release of their own...they wont get my money....ever.

With the NX derailleurs exploding, I predict we’ll hear about the SX cassettes disintegrating and shifters evaporating.

I've spoken to Cape Cycle Systems (SRAM SA agents), maybe this helps clear up some confusion: SX was a soft launch focused on OE. It shares components with NX therefor it is not THAT much cheaper when you do find it aftermarket.

11spd GX, hell, even a wide range Deore 10spd transmission will be smoother, better quality and lighter than SX Eagle. 

 

Take SRAM X5, make it 12spd. Hey, presto! SX Eagle!
