T-Bob Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Willie Smit on The Cycling Podcast today regarding his crash on the flat stage the other day. 10 stitches inside and 6 outside, 'big cut and I could see the tendon, slept abut 2hrs' when asked abut his knee... and then mountainous day for fun on paracetamol.

T-Bob Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Now go ride a back to back mountain stages. Tough as but is it really a good idea to carry on riding? Knee injuries have crippled many a riders career hope he's getting the best advice. Either way the guy is nails.

If Roglic loses anything less than 30s today it would most likely sew things up for him before Madrid. If however they can isolate him before the penultimate climb we could have the GC battle blown wide upon for the final week. But Jumbo Visma looks very much in control, so this seems unlikely. Battle for 3rd will be something to watch, would love to see Pogocar hanging onto his 3rd place.
