So what is the catch?

Why is it so cheap?

The top Basso bikes are apparently the puppies nuts, but is this a Chinese frame with a Basso sticker?

Having personally visited the factory in Treviso I will categorically state that absolutely no carbon Basso's are made anywhere other than in Italy. Their paint shop facility is also just down the road. You can also read the Basso launch article right here on the hub that describes their factory.

Why is it so cheap? Three reasons: We sell direct to consumer, no middle man no extra markup - think Canyon but with local dealer support - Win Win for the customer.

Secondly Basso themselves realise that they have historically only been sought after for the "puppies nuts" models at the top of their range. They have drastically reduced pricing to appeal to riders that can't afford the Diamante, but will then fall in love with the brand and when they do reach Diamante level, they are already aware and in love with Basso and the family vibe behind the bike. simple strategy really.

Thirdly, we customise every order; you order from us, then we order the right size and fit for you, then it ships directly to us to assemble for you, if necessary we then re-box and send to your door or LBS to final assemble. Yes there is a wait of about 2 weeks, but that allows us to keep pricing down.

It's never been a better time to get an Italian bike!

If you think its too cheap then I'll buy for R35K and sell it to you for R50K :)

Just call me the Middleman

It's always good to ask questions. YOU have to be happy with the choice. YOU WILL have to pedal the bike.

But rest assured. There will be no shame in turning up at the ppa training camp or your next race on the Venta. In fact there will likely be a lot of enve

Wait, are the wheels from ENVE?

The order and wait is a good model I think, no prior year stock being sold off for space for new models devaluing the bikes people paid full price for. This way keeps the price more realistic all the time.

Thank you. I have always dreamed of owning an Italian bike, but I have noticed that may manufacturers have the elite models which are made Italy, and then a more mass produced basic model. Same brand, but very, very different.

They look great. I will pop into your shop.
