I last did the 'Shova in 2006, so looking forward to this one. Best of luck with your comeback race, could not have picked a better race to do it in.
Jehosefat Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 7:20 for me. Might drop back a batch (or two) depending on how my legs feel since I'm cycling almost 600km from Joburg to the start. Hoping for 3 hours after a 3:10 into the howling wind last year (but again leg dependent because I drove down last year).
BMXER Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Hopefully the wind is better than last year yoh!I have done the Shova 16 times. There is ALWAYS a wind. Mostly head, can't recall been blessed with a tail. Just remember it's only pain and the hills are mental speedbumps. The first 25km makes the race, head down and go.Sub 3 is fairly easy to do.
