Remote place on earth.

Last year in Pretoria we had AMAZING big field and great spectator crowds.

I see Australia has fixed their venue of Nationals for the next 3 or 5 years.

How clever.  Bring cycling to the people and KEEP IT THERE.  Novel idea.

I agree, keep it where the people are. You need to get the public exited and involved for the betterment of the sport.

If that means you keep it at a single location for a couple of years, then so be it.

As a minimum, keep it in the big cities, especially the cycling-mad cities. So sharing it between the Cape and Gauteng every year is feasible.

The circuit racing in Pretoria last year made for phenomenal viewing opportunities for spectators. If something work, replica the good parts.

Only after you have established the brand will you be able to host it somewhere remote for the benefit of the local community. Like All Blacks vs Springboks in Nelspruit this year( still a little daft move in my opinion, but they should fill enough seats to make a profit in the old White Elephant Orange Giraffe Stadium)

It’s convenient on the desktop.

Very much so. Some days I hardly take my phone out my pocket. Whatsapp web and a smart watch are winners.

And I type a hell of a lot faster on a keyboard.

I hate typing with my fat fingers on my phone, especially when in a hurry to send a message.

Plus it can pass as "work" while sitting at your desk, instead of typing on your phone, which obviously isn't "work".

Just like bikehub...................

And Durban. They have a good circuit on the M13.

Like: two hours max from a regional and / or major airport, approx 1000 tourism beds in town, 8-15 restaurants, a funding partner, friendly towards cycling, plenty of social development opportuntities.....anyone know a few towns like this in the country?

Some pros on a few podcasts I listen to have said the Aussie nationals route is mostly on the same circuit every year, with a few tweaks here and there.
