Going by the rule-of-thumb that you can claw back 1min every 10km, things are looking very good for the breakaway surviving... Demare's three wins in three consecutive stages are looking more and more unlikely.

Also, he’s entered career crossroads after time at Movistar, Katusha and now a lifeline of sorts with ISN. Chapeau on a hard earned win! He tweeted this morning "Cleaned my teeth then realised I hadn’t drunk my freshly brewed coffee yet this morning. I really hope the day picks up because it started with a nightmare." I hope this result changes it and he gets at least the option of another year at ISN to work for Froomey. Nice guy. Chuffed for him with a baby on the way.
