Eldron Posted December 12, 2019 Share You should be able to pick up a forged cheapie 8mm in a hardware store for next to nothing. Much easier than organising to borrow one. Long Wheel Base

Otherwise just take it to the closes bike shop. Edited December 12, 2019 by Grease_Monkey
bobbie Posted December 12, 2019 Share Sorry should have been more clear. He's leaving tomorrow night so wanted to cycle in the early am. Unfortunately when he finally got to unpack his bike most shops were closed. Thank you again.

Alternative is to jam a 3+5mm allen keys in there together if you can. Also works well and had gotten me out of a jam before.

Middle of now where bush fix kinda thing then ja sure but when it's just to go for a lekker coffee ride on the promenade, I would rather just walk. MTBeer Posted December 13, 2019 Share you can take pedals off with a 17 spanner as well
shaper Posted December 13, 2019 Share You can screw a pedal in by hand, you don't need the allan key... will likely need it to unscrew the pedal
