Allow me to dream for a second.

<dream on>

Froome in the break today, he's far enough back to be allowed to go, then attacking the break with 50km to go and soloing to stage victory, Giro 2018 style, salvaging his all but lost chance to make Ineos team for TDF 2020.

<dream off>

The way the last few weeks in the peloton have played out, little will surprise me.

Really hope so.

He is Saffa and we need to support him!

Not sure what has happened the last two years and those in the know do not share.

My point of view:

Ride with intent if you protected, domestique or hunting for stage wins.

If he is a protected rider, sit up in the peloton, show a collective strength.

Team mates around him and pay back for their support by showing your team colours in the finish.

If he is a domestique ride like that, support your team leaders, pull at the front for your whole worth and sit up after job done, once again showing your team colours.

If he is in the hunt for stage wins in a breakaway, be in the front not at the back...

I agree with everything you said

but I was joking about him sandbagging, no comic sans on my phone

Yoh Thanks 2020... You can't make this s#it up

I have posted this story before

On the 4th of Jan I sat in the Full Stop pub in Cape St Francis a little too early in the day with my mate - we'd both had a terrible 2019.  A few too many Wildside IPA's in he or I said, at least it can't get worse, here's to 2020

So basically I'd like to apologise to everyone for making 2020 so sh!t

I'm no expert, none of us are

I still have the feeling some teams are too ready, some are under prepared and some might not have a clue (NTT)

This is an odd season that no one could prepare for 100 percent

I'd still take Froome to the tour - too many unknowns in this season and I'd take his experience because somewhere Bernal is going to need it.

GC riders who missed the break: Lopez, Martinez, Quintana and Porte. #Dauphine

Crazy!

What do you call a breakaway which has the GC contenders representing?!

And yet no live TV of how it happened.

I get that helicopter fuel is expensive, but can't we just have 2 motorbikes with video cameras for the first 2 hours? No commentary necessary.

I still remember Pinot's painful sobs on the mountain slopes deep into the 3rd week of the Tour de France as his injuries overcame him. Winning this 'home race' will mean tons for the Frenchie and his team, never mind a rare GC jersey to frame in his training room at home.

That was so so sad.. I think the whole cycling world mourned that day..

As a result of his crash yesterday, Primoz Roglic - leader in the GC and points classification - won’t start in the ultimate stage today. The evolution of his injuries will determine the plans for the upcoming races. Speedy recovery, @rogla [emoji1696] https://t.co/xvam2hlX69
