That looked bad, :(.

Not Remco bad, but still a bad crash.

My stomach was churning when I watched that. Personally it's always worse when one of the ladies crash. I genuinely hope she's ok.

Couldn't make a tight right hander (she was on the TT bars). Had a wobble mid corner, recovered but then ran out of road and went over the barrier. Looked nasty.

If she didn't have the wobble she'd gotten away with taking that risk. She did come into the WC without any racing in her legs and I wonder if that didn't play a part in her crash here. Such a talented rider I'm sure we'll see more of her in the future.

And hit the barrier a meter after the padding ended - no luck there today!

I guess she shouldn't have been on the TT bars....she obviously reconned the course thought and made the decision.

Have you heard anything? I haven't heard any news of her condition.

Yeah hitting the barriers after the padding is also just plain bad luck. No I hadn't but apparently JCA12 has.

There was a small update from the commentators. Conscious and talking. But nothing further

Edit: tweet saying left knee looks quite bad

Thanks for the update. Hopefully her knee looks worse than what it actually is.

WvA seems like the man of the moment but listening to that THE MOVE podcast with Lance

They reckon the champion wont be one of the tdf riders.

This is an interesting perspective...

My take on it is since its not a normal year where the riders have been racing flat out since March, he tour was preceeded by fewer races than in previous years so the tours riders are relatively fresher than in other years. Form is form and a week is enough time to recover and absorb the tour stress. I reckon the tour riders shouldn't be ignored in either the TT or the road race.

True... but I will still be very surprised if any rider who had a hard workload during the tour will be able to beat time trial specialists such as Ganna, Dennis or Campenaers today. The Tour riders might have recovered but will be lacking the specific preparation. Their chances to win the road race will probably be better.
