Hi

I've been offered a 80's Alpina Strada

Full shimano 600 groups etc,

Reynolds 501

Needs attending to on saddle and brake hoods

Paint very clean and no scratches

My question

What should I offer?

I bought one 1 week ago, the Columbus equivalent of your tubing, Alpina, less-pristine condition than yours...

Exage group set, works brilliantly, but 2 levels below600/ Ultegra.

AskedR2k, I paidR1.5K, then promptly spent R1.5K on it/servicing, new handlebars, clean up, etc.

So I do thinkR3k would be a fair price to OFFER,you may choose to pay more, but 501 Reynolds is entry-level tubing,etc...

Maybe up to R3.5K; let’s see what others say...

R4000

Buts its mint

Full shimano 600 including BB and Headset, shimanano 600 hubs are clean and smooth..

Excellent paint work she's been referberbished by someone

Just the saddle was worn

I've put my fizik on her and sent the original saddle to be recovered in white leather

I couldn't refurbish an oldie for that price

Very happy

Runs smooth and feels nice and firm

When you posted it in the other thread I was about to comment that the saddle was “out of place” and you need to find something more appropriate. Now reading this thread realize you’ve got the original. Awesome!
