It's a trail bike and not a XC bike. It's got more ralaxed angles and longer travel. If he wants a "play" bike and has the money, go for it.

Did a loop around the park this weekend on one.

LOTS of rear travel.  Soft ride.  Like Mampara said.

If you want to do one or two races in SA on it, get the Scalpel.

The Rize is the bike for the bloke who does the occasional race, fun ride but spends most of his MTB time on the weekends for around 10hrs and just gets out there toexplore what there is. It's an all day trail bike that can handle rough trails but has a turn of speed.

If you want to race more often then a Rush would be the weapon of choice.

If you can afford two bikes then a Scalpel and a Moto would be the way to go.

Ive got a Rush..... and dont want anytthing else...... but if someone would give me a Scalpel I would not say no......

But yes that is a awesome bike but rather go for the scalpel or rush....

Think the price would not be to difirent.....
