Any folks out there have a set of these? Anybody got an opinion on their performance?

I have a pair, both Road and Mtb. The braking on the Road Calipers is not that hot.. but gets the job done ok. The Ti Bolts are also not that strong, already broke on holding the brake cable in place. On the Mtb V-s the bolts also come loose and get lost..

Goodness... Bowled middle stump out of the ground first ball up!!! Shocked

Guess I will stick to my Dura Ace then.. Not a favourable review at all...

I've got a pair. Best features are low mass & price. Worst feature is the brake pads they come with - swapped mine for coolstop pads very quickly.

Light weight brake calipers are less powerfull than the normal Shimano/Campy brakes, so if you need/like lots of stopping power, I would not recommend them.

Here is a very nice review comparing kcnc, zeroG, AX lightness & M5 brakes:

The kcnc's do very well.

The Mtb brakes suck big time. They really do fall apart. On the other hand the road ones gets the job done, but the stopping power is no were near DA. But then again the kcnc ones are much lighter.

I also have a set of these.....and to be honest other than the weight saving, they are not as good as my campag calipers.  I noticed that there is a lot of forward and backward movement on the caliper when braking.  Pull your front brakes and rock your bike backward and forward and you will see how much they move.....that does not seem right to me.  The brake pads are also not great.

Pantani, if you buy those red calipers, you will perhaps need to re-paint your Soloist in its original colours again, also get different colour I-links, hehe Wink

IOW if you're a weight-weenie that doesn't weigh more that 50kg's and doesn't need brakes to stop your bike, then these are the ticket for you my friend. Thumbs%20Up

They the kcnc's have enough stopping power for me. The brake pad/rim combination makes a big difference. IMO the braking of the kcnc/coolstop/zipp combination I race with is not bad at all, I'm not that light at 71kg.
