Anybody else's Wahoo Elemnt Bolt not switching on after CTCT 2022

Hey guys...

Apologies if I hijack this thread, but seeing while the discussion is around Wahoo, I'd like to know from the fellow wahoo (bolt) users, How do you guys find the battery life?

On yesterday's 124km ride (6hr moving time) 7hr37min elapsed time, I had 18% batt life left. Now this is probably not bad at all, given I have turned off everything that will only chow battery life.

I do want to find out from you fellow users, does the strava live segment alos chow alot of battery life or not really?

Again, sorry for the hijack.

Hi

On Saturday I switched on my bolt for the second time after CTCT last week and went out riding. It went off about 10 minutes in and I was left abit confused because I had about 70% charge on it before I left home. Tried force rebooting.and their other troubleshooting options with no luck. I can only assume it was water damage from last week because some guy I spoke to on Chappies yesterday also said his packed in also after last week(though with an IPX-7 rating last week should have been a walk in the park). Anybody else having the same issue?

If it makes you feel any better last weekend's CTCT was also my Garmin 520's last hurrah. Tuesday morning after the race it also failed to switch on. In my case it seems the battery got completely fried as it is still working when plugged into a power source.

Unit has been out of warranty for a long time, at some point when I have enough emotional energy I will make the effort to go through the painful Garmin service/return process.

My Bolt used to last 15 hours easily. Now (3 years later), it lasts about 6 hours max with the same settings/features on. I did not see a big effect of STRAVA live segments on battery life though.

And this why I'm very comfortable owning the Tickr and Kickr. The service from Ikhambi has always been stellar.

great that you're willing to help out. A unit should not leak and die if its Ip67 certified.

Not good that Wahoo isn't interested afterall leaks are mostly a manufacturing fault if the unit has'nt been damaged through a crash or fall

Thanks but long out of warranty indicated by Wahoo support and another Ikhambi representative has notified me my only other option is to send it to the USA to get repaired as mentioned earlier on the thread but if you believe you can still help out. I’ll gladly log a support ticket.
