Want to upgrade my Polar HRM chest strap to Bluetooth connection to Strava. Can I record to Strava AND see real time heart rate on the Polar watch? Which strap will allow both?

Cheers

polar h10. can connect to 2 devices at once. amongst other things...

https://www.polar.com/za/products/accessories/H10_heart_rate_sensor

"

TWO SIMULTANEOUS BLUETOOTH CONNECTIONS

Connect your Polar H10 securely to two Bluetooth training devices at the same time: Your Polar watch + your bike computer, your favorite fitness app + gym equipment, your Polar watch + gym equipment; whatever combination best suits your workout.

ANT+ CONNECTION

Connect your Polar H10 to ANT+ compatible gym equipment, cycling computers and other training devices. ANT+ and Bluetooth connections can also be active at the same time."

I have the Polar H10 and can confirm it works on two devices, at the same time, using bluetooth. The reason for the different HR is due to me walking to switch the Kickr on at the wall.

If you’re with Vitality, you can subsidize some of the cost by buying from Sportsman’s Warehouse. If not, ignore these last two sentences.

Garmin has a normal single unit, and for a bit more the dual unit.   So make sure to get the correct unit

Thanks for that info, just what I wanted but couldn't find online.

Great to have a forum where a simple question can be comprehensively answered.

Garmin Dual - R1400
Wahoo Tickr - R1300 - R1900 (depending on model)
Polar H10 - R1800

Prices from Sportsman's Warehouse. As mentioned, it you're with Discovery Vitality, you get upfront discount, and can use miles too. Do it on the 15th and you can use double miles day to get up to 40% off.

I use H10 for a while now, no issues whatsoever.

I have a spare one since I thought I lost mine and bought a new one only to find it later, welcome to make me an offer, its brand new in the box.

I was not planning to buy yet, I am just getting back into cycling after 2+ years off due to operations. I was doing some research for a couple of months time when I will be (hopefully) back into full training. So unless the price is a "give away" I will wait until I am back in full training.

Thanks for the offer and if things change I will give you a shout.

Where are you based?

cheers
