I guess they are sort of a 'hybrid' shoe. It almost seems like they aren't a true cycling shoe and rather maybe a reinforced shoe geared to walking as well as riding (maybe the sole is not as stiff?)

LOL .... these guys, Shimano have been making the shoe you described for decades already!

Decided to lube my ‘normal’ bicycle with ebike lube and found bits lying on the floor when i came back to do the second coat🤷‍♂️

At least that lube had the decency to shorten the chain and remove the cassette for you!
It must have also been so embarrassed to be on a Shimano drivetrain vs a SRAM one.

WIN WIN

It was s SRAM cassette.
Found a note on the floor next to mech saying something ‘clique’ something ‘prejudice and black cassettes matter’ something ‘odd one out’ something ‘no appreciation’.

i agreed mostly with everything it said so i’m not looking a gifthorse in the mouth on this one.

😅

But now, those jorts are confusing.
Are those commuter, ebike or gravel bike specific ?

Cyclists seem to be the most gullible of all.
Put (insert favourite discipline here) specific on the packaging and some poor (rich) soul will pay the inflated price. Then wax lyrical on how much better it is than the previous incarnation.

Marginal gains eh? Or placebo...

not just cyclists

add  "for baby" on any product and you can easily double the asking price.

Same as adding "wedding" to the product name.
