So is Remco really ready for the tour? This race makes me doubt.

I think he won't be more ready.. this might be his level. Worth riding and finding out methinks.

According to his coaches, he is definitely NOT tdf ready.

He is still quite a few KG overweight and has a big recovery period as he is fatigued from the injury recovery and the simultaneous  training load

I don't see the correlation between your article and the comment made about athletes returning to full competitive action after injury necessitated surgery?

There is no correlation. Tapentadol is not new or meaningfully different as a painkiller.

Was referring to you comment .... Modern medicine is truly incredible. But numbing the pain can defiantly help aid an athlete return quicker than normal.

Jonas Vingegaard unlikely to ride Vuelta due to family circumstances

Translation:

Also good news for troubled Visma-Lease a Bike: positive signals regarding Tour participation Van Aert and Vingegaard

Although Visma-Lease a Bike indicates that it will only decide very late whether defending champion Jonas Vingegaard will ride the Tour, the signals are increasingly positive. The stars are also getting better about Wout van Aert.

According to Danish and Italian sources, Jonas Vingegaard has significantly increased his time trial training during his altitude training camp in Tignes. A good sign. His participation in the Vuelta is now in doubt due to family circumstances, which means that he would only have a Grand Tour in his legs this year by riding the Tour.

During the second week of his altitude internship in Tignes, Wout van Aert completed a training session of more than seven hours (188.58 km for 4,860 meters of altitude) together with Christophe Laporte on Tuesday. The kind of training work you do in the run-up to an important race.

Van Aert will also not defend his title at the Belgian Time Trial Championships. He will only return home two days before the Belgian Championship road race in Zottegem (23/6) to stay in Tignes as long as possible and to have the best possible Tour preparation.

I doubt his going to be at his best… he might do a sponsorship contract to show face and bail on the Alps so at least Christmas shopping is covered.

I see a podium of new players… definitely not Remco. Will be an amazing TDF if Pogi cracks from Giro fever.🙃
