Well, seeing as you have no qualms about riding down The Plumber at Jonkers, I am confident you're able to ride this one in your sleep . . .

In our household buying my wife a watch would be seen as a VERY passive aggressive move. I hope you know what you are doing haha

One of the earliest lessons I learnt when my wife got pregnant was to pick my battles wisely. There's something fierce about a mother.

For anyone interested:

This is the full with all 5 stages in order starting and ending at Laborie.

The wall - Advocate - Lanklip - Late Harvest(DH) - Laborie Descend.

The climb to The Wall’s start is 6km ish. I agree that the effort to reward ratio means this isn't a trail you’ll likely visit often on your own but it’s part of the event and still fun bombing down there at mach 3.

Once down from the wall it all connects up nicely via the Diamant trails/jeeptracks. Advocate is second stage. Tag in will be on the dirt road at the vinyards. After Advocate you’ll head up to Langklip (Spez Red) via Lanklip climb. Lanklip ends close to Knus but does not include the squirrel run flow stuff. From there you head back up to DH (late Harvest) via the Skillie climb. Once done with DH at the tar road, you literally  skip across the road at the barrier and find the jeeptrack there that will take you to where Laborie descend starts.

Thanks @Warren Melissa Go Riding and all the sendy youngsters for a fun day! These lot were already racing via their strava profiles haha. Some crazy speeds and times today  from them.

See you next weekend

New to this, what are the A and B lines?

A lines are where the tech usually is, i.e. rock rolls, large drops,  gap jumps that are consequence etc. This is the fast line.

B lines are also better known as the chicken run line where you dodge the danger, but it usually comes at a penalty in that it takes longer to traverse than going via the A line.

All this considered, Paarl A lines are very mellow on the tracks that will be ridden on Saturday.
