XL 26ers don't have a big market anymore, if you're tall, then 29er is almost a no brainer. Anything above an entry level 29er will be too much for the buyer. I mean a GT avalanche 29er with a 2x10 & Shimano brakes goes for around R5500-R6000 second hand. The Revels struggle to fetch R4500-R5000. Yes, I agree, it is worth more but the moment the argument about wheel size comes into the mix everyone will tell the buyer to go with the 29er and upgrade over time. I find it amazing that second hand bikes get so little in general but have good components. But then youook at new stuff with.... Parts like microshift and sunrace. I had a Monson 27.5' fully kitted with SLX Shimano and was trying to sell for R5k .
