Another one that whacks entrants for parking at the gate ... Bah humbug

Really? Like they did at Hopefield? No way I am paying for parking after spending that much on entering and fuel. In that case I'll just ride in from Dwarskersbos where we have a house.

um, looks like it is part of Die Skou

maybe parking is limited, pretty sure they have the sapce but they have been doing this for a while it seems.

i used to dig the kerkbazaar type mtb events, good to see a new one pop up! I can just imagine the tannies and ooms at their weekly meeting, when someone suggested they use "entry Ninja" for registrations - probably required a long explanation that no actual NINJAS and definitely not the one from Die Antwoord were involved.

looks like a JOL!

I waited for @lechatnoirto finished last year and watched people putting horses through their paces for some sort of competition. It is part of the skou ... Just burns my ring to be rummaging for another 30 bucks for an oomie at the gate

Had this at the Patatfees a few years back.

It makes sense that the non-riding family members pay entry to the "fees", which also knocks on to the parking fee.

BUT ... PLEASE communicate this properly and clearly before the event.

As noted above, scratching around for cash in the dark at an entrance is not the way to start the day.  PLEASE add these as added options when doing the event entry and payment.  ONE payment, and all is in order.

Same issue with those events where you encounter "pay CSA at registration" ....

All costs up front makes planning and logistics just so much easier.

CSA can suckit. Then go to hell. Then come back and suckit.
