Many stores have run specials on the GT recently as if selling out, so sizes may be an issue where still available.

Personally find them very similar. I wear a medium in both Assos and Ciovita. 
 

Pending on the model you are looking at. I know the bibs on the race end of each brand to mention they fit more snug.

My Assos bib is spot on with sizing.

 

Ciovita .... dont ever buy any of their products without trying it on !!  Two off the same size wont fir the same.

 

 

Dare I add that I find Rapid Sports cycling pants better on long rides.  Used both at a three-day event, and the Rapid Sports really impressed me.
