I'm going to give it a go. Rain predicted in the Pretoria area for 2 of the days, but lets' see. Anyone in the Pretoria, Equestria area willing to join me is welcome. Going to use my road bike, steady easy rides.

That just sounds like your two rest days if anything..

I’m being told we are doing it starting with a 120km on Sunday😰🤣

I see some rain predicted for my area (boksburg) too.

As long as its light rain I will got out and ride.

But, have picked up a stupid stuffy nose yesterday, am treating it, hopefully have caught it early enough and it will be gone by Sunday.

Looks like I’m probably out.
was up all night coughing, so decided to rather skip the planned 115km ride this morning.
just went an bought some meds, let’s see how today and tomorrow go. That does leave a lot more to do next week if I’m feeling better.

Holidays are about sleeping in.

😛

Hahaha sleep in whilst you can, soon you won’t be able to.

but in general my body wakes up around 4am, there is no sleeping in for me.

If/when I attempt this it would probably have to be over 6 days as I'm always unlikely to ride on 24/25 Dec.

Now to convince a few others to try that with me ... LOL

Unfortunately not this year as I'm off the bike with a sore back.  :(

Last year this time I was lying in ICU (came home on Xmas day) and no riding after that for almost 2 months ...

I have recovered and have joined the challenge, having said that I certainly won't make the 500 but am interested to see how close I can come ...

When I left home this morning it was an open question if my knees will hold up after all the sessions with the Bio ....

Kept in Zone 2 ... at least the first 60km.

Sobering moment at Kalbaskraal.  Group of CITY riders had a mishap where the railway lines cross ... couple riders went down.  One stayed down a long while. Finally sat up right.  Possibly a dislocated shoulder ... or worse ....

After Malmesbury the mercury started climbing ... slight headwind made sure I got a propper workout !!

Red ambulance at Toeka, Agter Paarl, helped.  They gave me lots of ice for my Camelback.

It got brutally hot back to Bellville.

Feeling fragile at the moment ....
