Jason Posted November 3, 2006 Share I never thought this day would come where I start a thread wrt. mountain biking . Yes I'm embarassed... but I have a couple of mates that want to go on team building...They looking to spend the day mountain biking (Yawn). I know or I've read/heard of Logwood and Northern Farm. Does anyone have details (Contact/Directions etc) for these places and where would you chaps recommend? These guys have a tight budget so nothing fancy.Thanking you all way way way in advance... Guest Michelle Posted November 3, 2006 Share You're in the wrong team.... our team building organiser was talking about an ocean cruise Why don't you go to Boot Camp.. let Pauline make those dutchman cry
MichH Posted November 3, 2006 Share Just wait Jason, you'll get hooked :-) I remember reading that Groenkloof in Pta loans MTBs, might make the trip more of a success? Otherwise if you can supply bikes, Northern Farm is a cheap option. Alternatively look at www.cultcycling.co.za/ email geoff@cultcycling.co.za, his website talks of corp team building days? Good luck, take pics! ;-)

Jason Posted November 3, 2006 Share You're in the wrong team.... our team building organiser was talking about an ocean cruise Why don't you go to Boot Camp.. let Pauline make those dutchman cry Michelle it's not my team... It's the Operators...those guys you work with! They on a different Budget... Stick to the topic please
Guest Michelle Posted November 3, 2006 Share I don't work with operators thank you very much They're always giving us a hard time.. they can go sit next to Centurion Lake & try catch some fish to braai...

They on a different Budget... Quite an elaborate story - your mates, the operators etc. Don't feel bad about having to ask about mountain biking. It is the elaborate web you have spun that you should feel embarressed about!
dirtrider Posted November 3, 2006 Share Ok when the two of you have finished then the rest of us can also chirp in !! Can I come and watch ? Athough Logwood got green routes it could still be a bit much for anybody who has never been on a MTB . Singletrack with trees that grabs your handlebars does not appeal to most people ! Nothern Farms would be the place to go . Easy and cheap , the way I like my woman . Like Michh said you can go to Groenkloof and hire bikes (Gaints) , and here you can also pick easy routes for the roadies/beginners .

scotty Posted November 3, 2006 Share I'm sure they'll enjoy it Jason its fun, our team building involved beating the hell out of drums and chanting gibberish. My choice would be logwood (easier to search for MIA's).
dirtrider Posted November 3, 2006 Share Scotty the drum beating , dancing around the fire chanting whatever you want is really very good way of relaxing !! Did they give you anything to smoke ?
scotty Posted November 3, 2006 Share The Peace pipe Jason on Logwood the logistics of getting in are easier, the only partly tricky section on the green route is the Organ Grinder, but you are able to ride around it, plus they can arrange a braai or something after.
