Group E goes off at 6:26

Previous race reports suggests groups C, D or E is where the fast trains come from.

HOWEVER .... a light headwind on the way out to Malmesbury may have an interesting plot twist .... possibly a high speed return run with the wind ....

@KingZA good luck rolling the dice 👍

I'm aiming to fast train myself from E to C as quickly as possible on the way out to Malmesbury😂

Yes. And we arranged to have the road resurfaced which they have just finished at the 11th hour 😅

Almost had a bit of a disaster on our hands

but it is completed and ready to race 20260206_124956.jpg.b06494659049209df91b555ab9dbcabc.jpg

Amazing! Thanks Nic. Looking forward to that pristine piece of tar near the end 😁

@NicholasH is there a tog bag drop off area tomorrow morning?

Not that I am aware. However, i don't see an issue if you leave bags in the Racetec area. BUT we cannot guarantee security etc...

So that would be at own risk...sorry

Lol😅

Yep, perfect race day. Looks everyone had a blast.

We had a few crashes on Klipheuwel on the A Frames. Gravel bikes don't work so lekker on them

Good on your time 💪🏻

Well done Nic. Well organised and gold to see you at the start and on the route. Leading from the front.

The gravel bike handled the A frames just fine, even a roadie like me managed to ride them. Where we struggled was the corn field section and the last horrible corrugated road. That was death.

Nice event, will do it again.
