Help, Titan, Silverback or Merida?

Hi all.

New to mountain biking but would like to get a decent bike as I will eventually like to participate in events. Gravel, offroad ect.

I am torn between the following 3 options and not sure which would be the best to go for if you could advise which would be the best brand with specs:

1)Merida Ninety Six 400 | 29″ Lite V Aluminium Frame Mountain Bike | 2024 (will have tubeless tires)

2)Titan Cypher RS LTD Edition | 29″ Cypher X6 Aluminum Frame Mountain Bike

3)silverback stratos al elite ms aluminium dual suspension mountain bike

Thanks, that one is just a bit over the budget of R34k and can't go any higher as it originally was on R28k🙈.

As a side note ... THIS is the time of the year shops want to move 2024 stock, to make space for the 2025 spec bikes ...

 

Often the best deals are found walking shop to shop and finding that one dealer that is eager to move stock.

If you’re buying from the internet you will fall short - try them out and see which one is “your” bike. If the bike is uncomfortable and doesn’t inspire confidence it’s not a good buy.
