Overweight, unshaven legs, roadmap eye's from all the boozes, and most importantly carrying his entire picknick basket with him on the ride LOL

Yeah, what's up with the picknick basket ? Why do you guys buy the lightest goodies then add 4-5kg's on your back ?

Oh crap. Imagine him stopping every 2 minutes and wiping down his bike.

And Pantani, NO WHITE SOCKS or any other clothing part for that matter.

bought myself a mtn bike the other day. reckon a few rides for a month or so would make me climb "like a cycling god" without buying the DVD. rock up at Magic and into the hills i ride. passed a few okes up at the zig zag section and i couldn't understand why they are pedalling so fast. then i realised my bikes got a triple chainring. followed some uncles up to the top and then they took off down this little path. battled to stay with them. i was scared, i didn't have a kidney belt on and the bike rattled so much i thought it would fall apart. must get new handlebar grips , i squeezed mine so hard my fingers are touching bare metal. we got to a little bridge and the oomies dissapeared over it and into the bush. i thought, must do a bit more climbing so i turned around and did the circuit again. the little path thingy is good fun once you get to know all the turns and ditches.

this Sunday went to the fun ride at richwood. i din't enjoy it at all. too many people and they ride so slow. my glasses misted up on the 1st climb. we must of been going about 5 kph. the other climbs everyone walked. and they had all this sandy stretches. not my idea of mtb biking. we should of just ridden from Table View to the Milnerton lagoon and back. i'll stick to magic f and have fun.

Shaving? Real men wax!

And in remotely connected news:

Taipei - A Taiwanese student's hopes to set a world record for having the world's longest leg hair were in peril on Monday as he accidentally pulled out the hair, news reports said.

Lin Kuan-wei, a third-grade high school student in Pingting City, southern Taiwan, displayed the 13.4cm leg hair to reporters on Monday, saying he hopes to set a Guinness world record because the current record is only 12.4cm.

Lin was on a study tour in the United States in 2007 when an American student noticed he had one long hair - measuring 13.4cm - on the lower part of his right leg while the rest of his leg hairs were only about one centimetre.

"He encouraged me to apply for the Guinness World Record. I checked Google and found that the current record - 12.4cm - was set by Tim Stinton, an Australian, on February 2 2005. So I decided to apply for world record," he said.

However, Lin accidentally pulled off his long leg hair, so he is not sure if the Guinness World Record Museum will recognise his record. - dpa

Shouldn't we all be ONE big beer-loving community of brothers and sisters that love cycling no matter what form?

piernas, yep - that's how i feel - that's why i have my mtb and racer sharing a room and my dual-purpose and roadie bikes sharing a carport, and the latter share with the car as well - rainbow nation is what we are aiming for

Exactly. If I wanted to switch to road cycling tomorrow I would feel ostracized by both groups. That's not on.

piernas, then you can just join me - we can start a new cycling faction called rainbow cyclists - with no judging based on lack of technical skills!
