TitusTi Posted November 14, 2006 Share And what do you have against whitewalls?! They enhance any car, well admittedly not those crappy Italian cars!
Kritzie Posted November 14, 2006 Share Thats why most Italians ride bikes, because of the crappy cars.
narra Posted November 14, 2006 Share Thanks for all the posts Titus ? ExoGrid, IsoGrid .... What is this all about ? Prices ? Where to get it ?
MintSauce Posted November 14, 2006 Share Maybe whitewalls will sort out the handling on this italian piece of crap.....stop it from sliding all over the place like you mentioned the other day, Ti!
TitusTi Posted November 14, 2006 Share I think it would Mint, no self respecting whitewall would ever do that ***.And Narra go to www.titusti.com they have all the specs for the 2006 ramge, I don't think they've posted the new stuff up there yet. For a rough idea about prices check out www.competitivecyclist.com or www.speedgoat.com I think they might give you some sort of idea.
old pro Posted November 14, 2006 Share Hi People Looking at getting a new bike after being in the sport for 3 years I do have an 2004 RC 3000 with Tiagra groupset. But it is time for a change. I have already decided on Ultegra groupset. Maybe Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels if my budget allows it. The budget is +- 20  I weight in between 85 kg and 95 kg. If i missed something, please let me know And if you think I should ride something else, do not hold back with the comments So the contenders: 1. Orbea Onix http://www.orbea.com/upload/bicicletas_bicicletas/A156.jpg +- R 23 000 2. GT Carbon Series 1 http://www.gtbicycles.com/sa/uploads/catalog/lg_56.31.g7_glb_gtr1_cbn.jpg +- R 19 000, as is. Not with the Mavic wheels. 3.Raleigh RC 7000C http://www.raleigh.co.za/images/stories/2007bikes/elite_road/rc7000_carbon.jpg +- R 19 000, as is? Not with the Mavic wheels. 4. Merida Road FLX 907-COM Do not know how much it will be. 5. Cannondale Synapse Carbon SL Si Ultegra Compact http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/07/CE/thumb/7RCL2C_blu.jpg Also do not know how much. I also do not now were this bike fit into the Cannondale range  So, let me know. Thanks Narra
MintSauce Posted November 14, 2006 Share Thanks for all the postsTitus ? ExoGrid' date=' IsoGrid .... What is this all about ? Prices ? Where to get it ? [/quote']  Official importer is Bowman Cycles in CT (021)423-2527. Speak to Shane. Have a look at www.titusti.com The Exogrid and Isogrid frames are expense. I believe for Exogrid you are looking at mid-thirties for frame and fork only!!! For your price range, you'd probably be looking at their entry-level frame which is the Modena. Please note however that for Titus, entry-level is like close to other manufacturer's top-end bikes. They are second to none!!! Mint

narra Posted November 14, 2006 Share I see that Raleigh updated the site, the recommended price for the RC 7000C is R 19 999.
TNT1 Posted November 14, 2006 Share  I see that Raleigh updated the site' date=' the recommended price for the RC 7000C is R 19 999.95[/quote'] That's a good deal. I'd take it. Maybe I'd try get the shop to swop the Ultegra for centaur or chorus if they can. But even with Ultegra, that's a good deal. Great value.
AndreZA Posted November 14, 2006 Share Maybe I'd try get the shop to swop the Ultegra for centaur or chorus if they can.  How can you put Campag on a no name brand frame? It's pedigree parts, so it must go on a pedigree bike. Not on a "half naaikie".

Great value. ugggh terrible value, paying an extra 3 or 5 grand for the team issue is a good deal - which doesn't even cover the upgrade from ultegra to dura ace, never mind the zipp wheels. In essence you are buying last years alu/carbon frame raleigh 7000 (available at 10-11k) and then paying an extra 10 grand to swop out the frame for carbon- insane,
