Depends what that price is? At full retail they are almost R30k, so in that case i would say no, go for the Lightweights. But if you an get them in good nick at a price under R20k, i would say yes. They are amazing wheels to ride, and they make any bike look fast!

what about:

Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimate 40mm 1185g

Easton EC90 Aero 60mm 1370g

Both around R10,000 cheape

I heard somewhere, you should spend about 1/3rd on your frameset, 1/3rd on groupset & 1/3rd on wheels.

So if you riding R30,000 wheels will the sum of your bike be R90,000! or are you fitting them to an old Peugeot 12 speed - which will look stoopid...

I know of a pair of the older Boras (not the Ultra's) going for R12000 if you are interested.

The only downside is that you cant put a power tap hub in them

They are not worth the price. Rather spend a little more and get the LW's. or a whole lot less and get the Fulcrums or ITM wheels, wich are both almost identical to the Bora's.

Damn nice wheels... wish i could ride on a pair... even if it was just for a weekend.. LOL.. or a day for that matter... Not sure i would pay 30k though... that is a bit excessive...
