KCNC is quality bling. I rode CK hubs' date=' now I9, but when it comes to a post it just needs to do the job...without breaking. KCNC is not a cheap product, it's affordable if you get what I'm saying. It's also not light cause they skimp on material. It's light cause they use scandium.[/quote']

Actually it's light because they skimp on material..

Scandium Aluminium alloy allows them to skimp because it's tougher and stronger than conventional Al Alloy.

However, I don't feel like it's as solid as DA though. The supplied pads are softer yes but there is noticable flex in the direction of the tyre.

I've seen KCNC at Illovo Cycles and Dunkeld Cycles.

Michelle, both Karstens and Westdene have them in stock. And since the shop logos are all over our kit, it might pay you to shop there?

I've got record & KCNC calipers. Have also ridden Zero Gravity & Dura Ace.

Dura Ace have got the most stopping power - after riding KCNC's for some time the stopping oomph of DA caught me by surprize on the first ride!Record not far second.  KCNCs (even after changing the stock brake blocks with Coolstop) and ZeroG have got noticably less power - less mass means compromize on stopping power.

KCNCs are well made, and is good value for the money.

It's nice to have bling' date=' but is nicer to have quality. Give me a Thomson post and stem or Chris King product before you give me lightweight bling. Offcoarse you pay for what you get.

ja, I was about to buy a KCNC seat post and when I saw the LBS had a Thomson - for the same price! - it was a no brainer.

I do like their stuff, but think its starting to get a bit pricey now thats its popular.....

Ok. I'm going to hijack my own thread here.

Just got my new Easton EA90 Aero's today and just finished putting them on my bike....Damn they look wicked!!!!

I just love the nice quiet sound of the rear hubClapThumbs%20Up and the bearings are super smooth.

Seeing as I don't have furniture in my house at the moment I will have  to go to Russells tomorrow to put my bike on one of their couches for the pic. Will post a pic tomorrow.
