Guest Big H Posted November 15, 2006 Share I sit here in the bush and wonder, how many of the great protagonists on this board and in informal cycling is really clean. What would the consequinces and implications be if CSA gets ther act into gear and really start testing..... through all categories and ranks for banned substance abuse? How may of the holier than thou cyclists will be xposed and how many red face would we see. We will definitely see a lot of lame arsed excuses and fiery hot denials. I just heard a little bird whistle. No, I cannot divulge any more but those who know will cringe at the thought.
pastapouch Posted November 16, 2006 Share Hiers oom se klip terug. Well, if you're not professional and competing for prize money, then why dope. So that rules out 90% of users on the hub. So where are the other 10%
Witrot Posted November 16, 2006 Share The best is to see how nervous some of the pro's get when they need to be tested and how rude they get to everyone around them. If the team manager is involved its even worse!

Gumpole Posted November 16, 2006 Share Ja, I reckon that the 4 reasons that people dont dope:1. danger to health2. its cheating3. its too expensive4. fear of being caught. BUT1. probably less dangerous than high speed descents, training in the morning in the dark, training alone, riding in the rain2. so is starting in an earlier group, getting a friend to ride with your chip, crossing the white line, using vehicles for a lift during races, drafting vehicles during vehicles.3. Look at what people spend on supplements, bikes etc4. Euro pros get away with it (it seems to me) SA pros more so (it seems to me) and I dont know of an 'open seeded' rider having ever been tested. I'm sure there are hundreds of non-licensed riders doping.

pastapouch Posted November 16, 2006 Share I'm sure there are hundreds of non-licensed riders doping. and what would be the reason to dope if you're not licenced. IMHO if you dope you're brainless already, if you dope and you do finriding, then theres no hope for you.
Bateleur1 Posted November 16, 2006 Share I know of guys that started as fun riders who I am convinced are using some serious things. They are way tooo informed about various "things". Now some of them are strong licenced riders.
