This morning a car jumped a stop street on a main road, so i slammed brakes to not go under his car and ended up slamming into the side of him....

This "A" hole now wants to sue me for damages to his car.... and did I put A NICE BIG dent in his ford focus... :)

Luckily I came off alright....

Im just pissed that cars dont look where they going, and think they got right off way... anyway that was my rant 'n rave...

Is your bike OK' date=' check it out carfully, there may be little cracks in the frame, a out of true wheel or something, then counter sue.

Glad you are ok.[/quote']

I agree. If you managed to dent the door, your wheel is most likely bent/out, the fork could be bent as well, and there could be frame damage.

Glad you're ok.

Yeah do that. get your bike checked over at your lbs and then claim from his insurance.

An old lady (for a lack of a better word) opened her car door in front of my boet one day and he went slam bang into it. Her insurance paid for the damage.

It wasn't an interection, there wasnt a stop sign or anything for me....  he came out of a small side road....not sure what the road is called but its the main road that takes you past the westdene dam....

craighowes, if he jumped a stop street and you didn't have a stop sign he will be laughed out of the cop shop. however, you must please go report the incident asap to the cop shops who's jurisdiction the incident occured in. then contact your insurers to cliam and recover from him. then also contact TP attorneys to claim for every little ache and pain you have got as a result of this id10t jumping a stop street.

Same thing happened to me...

Woman overtook me and turned left in front of me- SMASH! - then carried on going, I got her registration and reported it to the police.

The police delivered a letter to her address on my behalf, stating the damages to my bike.

In response... She first denied it was her involved in the accident, then after I explicitly described her, and her car, she said, "oh yes now I remember..."

Then with her husband being a lawyer, she sent me a letter stating she was suing me for damages to her car!

And a side note that he (her husband) could have me arrested for malicious intent (because I swore at her when she didnt stop), and to avoid this I should drop my case.

When I went back to the police for help, the detective told me to F*** OFF, and told me to get out the police station....

carlo sq, report the cop to icd and take the matter further via an attorney. she is legally liable and as to swearing at her - reasonable man thingy will have that turfed outta court. the f's are just trying to intimidate you - don't let them they don't have a leg to stand on.
