and, no, at low pressure, it won't clog the valve. only when you deflate the wheel does it start clogging up the valve. you running presta or schrader valves? i assume the former.

The wheel must be rotating for the sealant to work. With tubeless tyres you have to keep going when you hear the pssfft pssfft sound, otherwise they will deflate as well. In general the valve will not clog up (for best results the valve should be furthest from the ground when you deflate it)unless you let the air out of the valve while the wheel is still turning, which in itself is a completely different problem... very rare to happen unless you are Mr. Fantastic.

You may want to put in a tubeless valve /strip before you add sealant etc. .......

Zzzzzzz ok I actaully did read it all and after thinking about it for a while decided to add my very expert advice . Don't even waste your money on buying a "not" so cheap tube with sealant . Do it properly from the start and go No-Tube . The sludge filled tubes wil work fine with big thorns and the likes but get a thorn that just about penetrated the tyre and your sludge filled tube is as usefull as a freezer to a eskimo . And no I did not thumb suck all this crap , I have actually tested it .

DR, going to go the tubeless route.

 

Only way to to learn is  eeerrrmmm experience, so will see what happens.

 

Just means I will need to carry two spare tubes .. just in case.
