If the show is unwilling tofeature teams / pro riders because of sponsorship / advertising issues then Ithink it?s sunk ? cycling is a branding and logo driven sport - that this is atthe heart of the issue surrounding show content is a big problem...... If the show can?t even run apro team or rider feature, how can they even begin to make the leap to testingnew equipment and actually giving a critical or honest opinion.(the Top Gearstyle format is awesome; it makes the already appealing idea of watchingsomeone else thrash a mega bucks carbon fibre dream machine even more appealingwhen piss taking and jokes are added) Demographics wise there isso much to the sport of cycling, no one show can realistically cover itall ? but that?s what the extreme sports channel is for; BMX, Urban trials,Down Hill etc?.. If Super cycling wanted to expand theirairtime presence (and generate more advertising revenue to cover features) itcould do worse than have a Mountain bike specific show featuring theinternational and domestic scene; 4x, downhill, XC, trails and locations,developments in the sport (freeride is about to take over) ? even if much of thefootage was sources from the Etreme sports channel, Transworldsport or whereever, but sliced with local presenters and mini features. The sport andrecreational cycling scene is growing here ? rapidly ? these guys need to getimaginative quickly and get with the programme, before the show becomesirrelevant and dies a 94.7 rerun induced death?? I doubt there will be much negativity.. Bike shoot out International highlights and review Cycling related media review; books, dvds, websites etc Presenters other the guys currently used. PLEASE!!!![/quote'] Lefty, I asked AM about a few of your of your point sometime ago. He said, that MNET Supersport were not happy showing team presentations and interviews. I think it more a money issues from SuperSport side. You buy time (adverts), we show your brand. But i also think a complete rethink of the program is needed. hopefully with a new approach to the show the presenters will losen up a little..But please please do not even consider that knit twit HF Verwoerd jnr.... asseblief!

Richard Hammond beat the others in getting from Heathrow to London City airport on a bicycle.... It was hilarious watching him ducking and dodging London City busses in rush hour traffic, swearing like a trooper ...... BTW - the car came last after the bicycle, powerboat (Clarkson of course) and public transport..... Now this would be interesting.... Challenge: Starting at Monte Casino and finishing at Joburg Airport in morning rush-hour traffic. - AM on public transport (i.e. Minibus) - Owen driving a 1973 Cressida and... - Arnie on a "dik-wiel" bicycle!!!

That would be soooo cool. Or adapt the whole show and send well known SA citizens on a cheap singlespeed around Kyalami and see who's the fastest. Or like they did with the Hi-Lux and actually try and break a bike by just riding the crap out of it.
