Drums are one of the most important elements of a good song...but you shouldn't see the drummer...well that's my perspective The National at one point in their career had that with boxer...and then they became coldplay and lost it all...but this is a great example

Ja, they did a number of projects after Bauhaus that were a bit weird. Pete Murphy on his own was okay, and I was fond of Dali's Car. But that might have had more to do with Mick Karn's bass playing. Insane mosh pit and then after the gig, Gedge and the band would go and chill at the bar and have a beer and chat with everyone. He was the eiptiome of the the nerd that started a rock band and and altogether top bloke...fun fact is he alos lived for a few years in South Africa when he was young Red Robin 1
