Never knew you had a mini-bus with white sidewall tyres and a spanner for a steering wheel! But I should've guessed it while you giving Slave etc lifts to and from races!

True that!  Now I have to be nicer to taxi's because you might be driving it!

 

easy to recognise - I use a vice grip for a steering wheel, the spanner keeps on falling to the floor as soon as I go faster than 140.. especially in town

 

 

 

I suppose you also advertise Doom on your taxi? On the back it says "DOOM" and on the sides it says, "FAST, DEADLY"! (I actually saw a taxi like this!)

And you have a few bullet holes in the side and a few dents here and there on the taxi?

Kid, the wop bike is in the garage on the workbench waiting for my hands to caress it and bring life into it.

 

Will have to wait a while though because I need hundreds of parts and things so it could be a long project. Hoping to get it ready in time for the fast one, but I have some doubts.

Being a very conservative Afrikaans speaking citizen, I have been called Doom yes (as in Dominee)

But i haven't yet had it printed on the sides no

maybe I can find a sponsor for that, then get them to Include a pic of LA and Trek!!

Great idea! At least the Kid won't travel in your taxi and wreck it. But just keep an eye out as he may try ride up to it on his new Bianchi and hit it with a hammer. But as long as you go over 15kph you shouldn't have to worry. You go 215kph already!

So you already got it, good for you :-)

What parts do you need ?

Are you going to keep the Shimano Groupset or are you going to put Campy on ?

Shimano. Want to get a new groupset. My chain is pretty much knackered and so are my shifters.

 

So while I am about it, I am thinking I may as well go for new stuff and while doing that, might just as well get new stuff. And if I get new stuff, might as well go the whole hog and get ten speed.

 

105 seems to be a good option. The Ites are going to have early heart failure having an Ite bike with Jap scrap bits.

 

I heard from someone that all the Shmano stuff is pretty much interchangable, but the same can't be said for Campy.

 

Besides I have a few Shimano tools already. Seems a bit daft to go oout and spend all that money again.

 

I have the bike on appro. Haven't made the final decision yet. 99% there.
