I dont know Spideys age but he ride SV and is pretty much one of the top guys in his age category and his BF% is 14% this would in normal people eyes seem alot but according to his age it isnt.

 

BF% is not as important as some people make it out to be.

 

VERY true.  I got my BF down to 7% when I was 21 and I got sick after EVERY race!!!  And I was slower on the bike then.....

Then again, I rode a Trek.  Big%20smile

ww if you are 14% BF then you are in serious trouble. a woman is not meant to be below 20%

 

go see a dietician now

 

14% for a lady.....NOT GOOD!!  And you wonder why you feel up and down all the time.....Angry

As measured by Kakaa earlier this year - 12.5%

 

Still the same weight, 10 months older, still drink copious amounts of beer, love pizzas and could ride in the VC category.

I don't know my body fat %; I have a six flab = too much fat Confused

 

Could run the 100m sprint in 10.68 seconds 18 years back, now only able to do that time on the 80m sprint LOL

 

Current Weight 83-85kg

Ideal weight 75kg for my height (1.78m)

 

Love braai too much and will drink 2 or 3 Hansas...I eat lots of fruits and biltong when I get 'lus' for chocolates or chips as I stopped smoking 7 months ago after smoking for 20 years Dead.

Someone mentioned this on the radio the other day as well....the waist thing....

 

"Height and circumference methods

There also exist formulas for estimating body fat percentage from an individual's weight and girth measurements. For example, the U.S. Navy Circumference method compares abdomen or waist and hips measurements to neck measurement and height,[10] and other sites claim to estimate one's body fat percentage by a conversion from the body mass index. In the Navy the method is known as the "rope and choke." It is not uncommon for Chiefs to take advantage of flaws in the procedure to pass those who are otherwise out of standards[citation needed].

The U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army also rely on the Height and Circumference method. For males, they measure the neck and waist just above the navel. Females are measured around the hips, waist, and neck. These measurements are compared to a height/weight chart with age factored in as well. This method is used because it is a cheap and convenient way to implement a body fat test throughout the entire Department of Defense. This method poses a particular threat of inaccuracy because one can hold one's stomach in more if needed to pass the requirements, and/or flare the neck out and make it bigger resulting in a lower body fat percentage.

Due to different body compositions, those with larger necks have an advantage over those with smaller necks.

Another well-known method using height and circumference is the YMCA formula. It uses only body weight in pounds, and waist in inches (at navel), to calculate body fat percentage using the formulas,
