Great place to ride, Tokai, rather just be grateful we're allowed to be there at all.[/quote']Dude...... my ride was not "spoiled" because I suddenly had to stop for some horses, as I frequently stop, pull over, and dismount for the MTB'ers coming past me. I was rather upset that I was placed in a potentially dangerous situation by some people who clearly should have known better. Don't you think you might have placed them in a potentially dangerous situation????I'll bet you that they are on their horsie forum right now complaining about that ****** on only half a bicycle who endangered their lives and stuffed up their ride.Give it a break...there is two sides to every story,live and let live,etc,etc.Yes.. Tokai is a great place to ride. That's why I go there a few times per week ...... and always stick to the jeep tracks and single tracks where MTB's ARE allowed to ride .... and never take short-cuts avoiding any additional damage to the surroundings.

Dude..... (shakes head) .... sigh ..... as mentioned earlier .... it wouldn't have changed anything if I was walking, riding a bike, skipping.... Like the horse really cares how many wheels you have. Whose side are you on?? get a horse! Thats the end of me on this page as this is sooooo tiring Its friday!!

Horses are cool and all, but they scare easily and their owners and riders are obviously aware of this. If this is the case, and I sincerely hope it is (otherwise horse owners and riders pm me...I have some news for you), I don't see why they would risk riding in a single track where mountain bikers come flying down all day long. I am not saying we are reckless, just that when you are cycling and gunning down a trail, normally you are going quite fast and coming to a dead halt is not the easiest, quickest or most noiseless thing, so even if you were to spot someone on a horse and brake in time, there is still a chance that the horse will be scared and freak out...
