On a different note.......

 

i was sitting at a pizza place in durbanville the weekend (waiting for my order)...about 7:30 the evening

 

along come about 7 laaities (i estimate a range of about 14-18 years old)  ...they must have been from one of the nearby wine farms...really scruffy looking and barefoot too (who rides clipless pedals barefoot!!!!)

 

included in the bikes they were riding.......

 

a scott S2 (2007 model)

yellow cannondale (with red or white writing i think)

a red/white trek

 

and i couldnt make out the rest.....bikes were really covered in dust ....looked like they had seen a few dirt roads.

 

even the wife commented that they is now ay in hell that they bought those bikes.......i tried going after them but lost them in one of the side streets (had to run to car first)

I still recon We should stand up to this and not just take it.. Whatever the Race. "Us whitees are way to cultured etc.."

 

These guys were in and out in 4 minutes, They obviously knew what they were doing and were not some average cyclist dude...

got to agree, but I with so many bike shops struggling to make ends meet, I dont think they can afford to insure the total value of stock.

I didnt even like the bike.. I was so tired at the prizegiving at the 24 hour race when they went on and on about the bike while I was falling asleep in the Hot sun...

I somehow dont think this is going to come around the corner with a barefoot laaitie on it.. nor the others...

I fear these guys know what they are doing and might go flock them up in the vaal or something.

With the development of new biks parks in the Cape and more persons wanting bikes and my favourite brothers flooding you Capies lately this thing will continue, pure greed deal with them decisively. Speak to my brothers on the Cape flats after giving him a bob or two and his tongue will flow. The colour of the thieves has nothing to do with the issue- THEY ARE SCUM

Sho that's a mooi bike it'll be hard to say no to that one when you run into it on Gumtree for a few bob! But then...karma is a funny thing!
