I just had to miss the bits of the bike but Brian had to miss the car + bike.  It could of been such a different outcome, very happy that we managed to re-act and get out of the way.

Thank goodness everyone is OK - I rode by this AM and had to look away - it looked horrific.  Made may day to hear the cyclist avoided tragedy.

The lawlessness out on the roads is out of control.  About 10 minutes prior to the crash a black Masserati went blowing by at probably 200 K/hr.

Mmm... and I ride that route in the mornings cos I figure Constantia Nek is dangerous with all the traffic. Glad to hear you made it out ok, you must have some kind of deal with your creator...

If you look at the photos, not to far...  He seems to be OK. Man was these guys lucky or what (Biker & Cyclists)?  Anyone know what happened to the motorist, this time also the innocent party! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Gives new meaning to when you time is not up, it is not up!

glad nobody had a sudden stop at the end of that accident.

a word of caution. I drive the suikerbossieroute to work often. it's mor free flowing compared to the M3.

There are a lot od slow moving bakkies and truck transporting people and goods. This leads to frustratoin, especially Getz drivers for some reason...

People do not drive proactively on this stretch. They cut across the yellow line often so if you heading away from town and you're on a bicycle it is wise to ride toward the outside of teh yellow line on left hand bends because the corner clipping Michael Schumacher wannabees cannot see you till the last second. If they don;t react then its the end of the show for the cyclist. Just a word of caution.

Individuals are one thing, I know a few good drivers myself. As a collective though...

as a collective we are shyte.

the point was at this time of year that stretch of road is full of cyclist yet motorists still seem to demand that the road is theirs and don't really give a damn. They will drive over you because they know that they will get off with a light sentence. No repercussions.

I was at a braai the other night, women and men alike all tlaked about how they will their little traffic battles everyday. Pushing into queues, right lane hogging etc. Cape Townians are an arogant bucnh of racist gits.

People herefoirst classify a drivers actions according to skin colour, then brand of vehicle and then size. it's just plain scary. almost total anarchy on the roads. Not a traffic cop in sight because they've all taken up the new hobbie of high speed photography.
