My biggest wish for 2009 is that the OFFICIALS OR CHIEFS in charge of MTB and Road cycling will discuss the cycling calender, before it becomes official for 2010.

Why do we have the U16 road tour and a MTB cross-country National (at the Worlds course)  on the same day in Natal, around the 4th of April? We need to have the best riders in SA competing at both events, as most youngsters at that age dont always know what discipline they prefer!!!!

I dont know whether there are marriage problems between these two Cycling bodies, but we need to get our act together , start talking and get organised.

I agree! We have the same problem In Limpopo. We don't have a lot of events, but when we do, they also seam to clash (road and mtb). And most of the cyclests here do both road and mtb races.

Down here almost on every weekend you will find a race to do..both MTB and road?you really have to pick a field?you won?t be able to perform in both.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Keep to the dirt is what I also say!

At least Northern Gauteng have their Champs - CGC don't even know when theirs will take place.

And given CGC's history the entry fees for their Championships could well be more than next years Epic. After all, how else are they gonna pay for the swimming pools?
