I find it extremely hard to swallow your tale of doing 75 000kms on a single cassette. I smell a story modification coming up.

JB' date=' he did say cassette's

............. before re-lubing and your chain stays shiny clean.

I do +- 15000km's a year, after 5 years my cassette's are still

good and I put a new chain once a year as a matter of coarse. (I also

have no vested interest i Spanjaard)

Well, the plural of cassette is cassettes.

He used the posessive form and left it wide open to interpretation but with the distinct impression that this feat was performed on one bike.

The minute we believe his cassette's to have been a mistake and plural, we're open to putting a little number in front of the word.  That little number is in reality 15 or bigger.

Like I said, let the backtracking begin.  The Tipex is in the top drawer.

So how do you apply your wax-based Squirt then?

PS: I only buy my Swiss lube from a retailer that engages in price fixing. Hence a large portion of the sale price goes straight into the SA economy.

Man, this is funny.  I like you perspective on things!  LOLClap

(BTW, I use the Finish Line green bottle stuff in winter, but watch out, if the chain touches anything it leaves a nsaty black oilstain that will not be removed!

In summer I (very secretly) use Squirt on my roadbike, because it's good enough and nothing gets dirty.  Good enough for me.)

What? Even with petrol?

Don't you think the backseat of my car will react adversely to the application of petrol?

(and yes, it IS an oilstain on the backseat...)

You fun rider. That's even more pathetic than a chainring tattoo on your calf...

You deserve to look at that stain every day as a reminder of your uselessness...

Whether he had an apostrophe S or not is besides the point.

If you care to read the whole sentence and not just pick and choose what you want to highlight Roders said "my cassette's are still good" which to someone with even a basic grasp of the English language would imply the plural.

You obviously chose to ignore that !

O dear... things are getting out of hand again..

yes, going south fast. I never understood that though, what is so bad about the south?

And south of what?

Would it make more sense with an apostrophe?
