This is quite a tough one as both serve their own purposes. mtb offers more adventure, addrenalin pumping and just down right fun riding. I guess it's more up to the individual what he / she prefers. There are many different disciplines, so if one gets boring you can concentrate on a different one. Plus, fresh air is way nicer than diesel fumes. intern Posted April 29, 2009 Share Def start with MTB, it allows you to get to learn how a bike works and how best to ride it and how best to fall off of it without the pressure and danger of taxis, potholes, stones (which believe it or not puncture a skinny tyre), other roadies who tend to be rude and unwelcoming of newbies, dogs, small children, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
