Raleigh price cuts

So who is taking the knock here??? Raleigh and their markups???? I

think not. A retailer I spoke to recently said that Raleigh let them know they they where

not allowed to put more than 9% as mark-up on their products in order

get the prices down. Nice one!!!! especially when some of their

products get marked up by up to 500%

Sad part is , Cajees told me earlier this year Raleigh had problems with their carbon fraims. Were cracking , so as a goodwill gesture Raleigh gave a few frames to the various Raleigh dealers who sold a carbon frame only for R6500.00. Bargain but I might not trust Raleigh anymore

Yes they did, and they did. but it seems it is actually the retailers who are bearing the brunt of this. They struggling enough as it is.

If the Raleigh distributor 'fixed' the prices at dealer billing + 9%, why would the 'bike shop owner' complain to a stranger/friend/customer? Why not go to the competition commission, especially with the current investigation going on?
