Say what.....How do you break a Shova!

If you thrash an alu bike for long enough, the inevitable happens.

But it will be back....just as good as before!

Luckily just the swingarm.

I would love a "new look" swingarm, like the Izimu's with 142mm x 12mm for my Shova.

Would love a bolt through on the back, skewers are crap.

Can the factory supply a swing arm like that for a Shova?

Haven't asked.

If you do ask them:

1. Speak to Richard (apparently) he's a guy that'll try make a plan.

2. Let us know please.

The Izimu's swingarm is 150mm spacing though.

Can't be too difficult to make it 4mm narrower on either side.

+1.  I have requested a quote for 5 RD hangers for shova/zula in late July.  Followed up with a phone call the next day.  Still waiting for a price.

Look on Ebay. There's a guy in Israel called Pilo. He makes hangers for all sorts of bikes. He probably makes hangers for your bike. I got hangers for my Foes DHS mono which is way more obscure than a Shova

Morewood's service was good in 2012 when I bought my Shova.

Well maybe a tad slow, but I can't expect them to stop all their work  on current models when I want a Shova.

Interesting how things change.

Luckily I have a couple spare RD hangers.

Last I contacted them service was also up to chit, asked for frame sizing once and quote to respray another time, both times never got a reply. Weird that, I had this idea that it was a company with old skool ideas on quality and service.

Have had response from MW, may not have any swing arms in stock....will be able to repair and paint though.

As to modifications, minor ones are available, but otherwise not.

Will see what the prices look like when they arrive......

(saving pennies in the back ground quietly for a potential new bike, slightly sad, slightly excited)
